What is SynchroNet CLICK™?

SynchroNet CLICK™ overview

SynchroNet’s CLICK™ platform facilitates deploying and managing Amazon WorkSpaces at scale by automating the provisioning, termination, changes, resource allocation, user self-service, and application allocation. CLICK integrates with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and uses existing user administration workflows to ensure that WorkSpaces are provisioned and de-provisioned accurately and uniformly as users move through their lifecycle. Administrators use the CLICK administration console to map user personas to the applications, compute type, storage, and other WorkSpaces requirements that are to be automatically delivered. Additionally, end-users can use a self-service portal to perform self-service tasks based on role authority such as viewing status, resending registration information, rebuilding, and rebooting.

Provisioning WorkSpaces in the native console can be clunky and limited in its functionality. SynchroNet CLICK™ is a User Automation Platform (UAP) that leverages the power of serverless technology to automate user, workspace, and application life cycles. Built on AWS Lambda, CLICK facilitates deploying and managing Amazon WorkSpaces at scale by automating each manual touchpoint: provisioning, termination, changes, resource allocation, user self-service, and application allocation.

What kind of features does SynchroNet CLICK™ offer?

SynchroNet CLICK™ integrates with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and uses existing user administration workflows to ensure that WorkSpaces are provisioned and de-provisioned accurately and uniformly as users move through their lifecycle.

Administrators use the CLICK administration portal to map user personas to the applications, compute type, storage, and other WorkSpaces requirements that are to be automatically delivered.

What are the key concepts of SynchroNet CLICK™?

Managed Users

  • Users in CLICK are synchronized with Active Directory and are managed as they are associated with an Active Directory group that is managed by CLICK.

Managed groups

  • Groups in CLICK are synchronized with Active Directory and are managed within the CLICK admin console.

Applications

  • Applications in CLICK are arbitrary naming schemas that are associated with Packages whereby CLICK uses a matching algorithm to associate a bundle to launch WorkSpaces containing the appropriate applications.

Packages

  • Packages in CLICK are composed of WorkSpace parameters containing compute type, running mode, encryption options and root/user volume sizes. There is a component of packages where applications may be selected. Another unique feature of packages provides the ability to add Tags to WorkSpaces.

Bundles

  • CLICK Bundles provide a mechanism to associate applications with Amazon workspace bundles. When manage, the applications associated with a bundle are used to automatically select an appropriate WorkSpace for an end user.

Managed WorkSpaces

  • WorkSpaces managed by CLICK are controlled by the automation provided by CLICK. Other management options are also provided whereby an administrator may perform start, stop, reboot, rebuild and terminate actions on individual WorkSpaces.
